Unnecessary musical embellishment

At the conclusion, a I’ll-conceived musical audio track is introduced which greatly detracts from the author’s words and the mental image one constructs.

I have started a collection of Will Patton read books now. What a combo, Will Patton and Burke.

Abridged

Sad that the story was so chopped up when the author and narrator have such talent

Anything Burke Writes....

I am a big fan of anything James Lee Burke writes and Will Patton narates. PERIOD. This was the first of this character series for me. I will "read" the others.

Not the best

I didn't like the abridged version. Jumped around too much and hard to follow. Will Patton saved the story. Such a good narrative.
