Look, but don't touch. Touch, but don't feel. Feel, but never ever love.

From the moment Alina touches London's hottest fae superstar, breaking one of the laws founded to protect all of her kind, her fate - and the fae - close in.

Belowground the fae High Queen plots to claim the city as her own and places her pawns, ready for the battle to come. A battle she cannot lose but for one small problem - Alina. There are four ancient keepers powerful enough to keep the queen in her prison. Three are dead. One remains.... And to fight back, Alina risks sacrificing everything she has come to love.

This new-adult urban fantasy is packed with action and suspense and will have you yearning for more forbidden fae romance.

Annoying lisp by the narrator who also can't pronounce some other words right. Detracts from the story.

Narrator's lisp detracts from storyline

I like the story it’s great. I enjoyed that it hinted at romance but didn’t go full on bedroom scene. I like the characters. I want to know more about them. I like the twists that happen throughout the book.

My dislikes are small compared to my likes. I dislike that the story has predictable parts (but those are counteracted by the twists thrown in). I am no the biggest fan of the artist who recorded the book, however, I enjoy that she has a range of characters that she can do well. She does make a few mistakes as far as mis-pronounced words but that is redeemed by the overall performance she gives of this book.
I hope in the next book we get deeper into the story of what happened on Farie and the stories of those who are now on earth.

I would recommend the book and the audiobook to friends and family.

Great story, I want to know what happens next.
