really informative

this was a great starter book for anyone wanting to know about the lives of these 3 women!

Women with real issues backbone—esp in a time when that wasn’t thought to be right or ladylike!! YEH!!

I really enjoyed these women who put their fair sex out there! Not remaining in the corner, being quiet and meek! They let their views be known!!

Behind Every Good Civil War Hero...

Each of these women were more interesting than their husbands. They had to endure oppression for being female. They were not allowed to have an opinion on slavery or anything else unless they agreed with their husbands. Thank God that didn't stop them. I learned so much about the Civil War and the Confederacy.

This book was so much better than I expected. I truly enjoyed every minute. It is well written and researched.
