Full disclosure: I received this book free in return for an honest review.
The book had some interesting characters and many parts of the story line were entertaining. But to be honest, I found it to be less than engaging through many parts of the book as well. I had a difficult time paying attention and a hard time getting to the finish. The narration was not fantastic, but not completely terrible. At times, it sounded so monotonous that I was convinced it was an electronic voice. All in all, the story and the narration were... "amateurish", I would say. I hate to leave anything but glowing reviews, but I am obligated to review this book and I will not be dishonest.

Robbery gone wrong, but wait is it all connected to the classmates killings. Detective Faye Johnson has her work cut out for her. A little town and their secrets. Makes you think of your neighbors a little different know. The ended was to be expected at least for me. I connected the links and had my theory. This story was narrative well. The style of writing is written to keep my interest with out the fake over the top gore/killings. I was hoping the ending ended a little different.

A ‘dinnertime cat burglar’, a manipulative wealthy woman, dead classmates…Detective Faye Lynn Johnson has her hands full in this latest installment in the series. I’m familiar with western MD and the PA border towns so this enhances the story for me. The ending gutted me!!! Now onto the next book to see how our beloved detective will recover.

I never guessed until the very end!

It was a murder mystery with intertwined stories. The plot was ok, but the writing could have been better. The narrator did a fair job.

It was alright
