I found the narration boring. The narrator used the same vpice for every male and every female throughout the entire collection. Some of the stories were almost good, but most mediocre in my opinion.

Mediocre short srory collection.

I've read several of Ketchum's novels and absolutley loved every one of them. he is one of my all time favorite authors. this collection of short stories just didn't quite hit the same sweet spot for me as the novels of his have. everything was well written and told but several of the stories didn't feel like stories but like a detailed retelling of a news event, like I was just reading an article not a fiction which may be for others but it just wasn't for me

slightly disappointed...

I really liked the Gore and violent horror of the Jack Ketchum books that I've read before. Ive grown to expect lots of blood and cannibals, mad dogs and killer crazed women, etc. This is not one of those books.

This is a book full of beautifully written stories with vivid imagery and a genius understanding of human and in some cases domestic cat understanding. I loved the side notes to each story and I felt more engaged with Jack Ketchum then ever before.

I would put this collection of short stories next to Stephen King and Flannery O'Connor.

Read masterfully by David Gilmore.

I absolutely loved this book!!!
