ClownTown is your average American small town in the U.S. except for one little thing... More than half the town's populous wears clown make-up at all times. Don't get it wrong; they're NOT circus or carnival clowns. They are townsfolk that like to wear clownface in their everyday walks of life. They are teachers, butchers, construction workers, grandmothers, and even hookers. Like I said; all walks of life! Sheriff Angelina Saint Cloud has the job of keeping the peace between the Clownfolk and the 'Norms'; (those who don't wear make-up). That delicate balance is tipped as a dead clown is found just outside the city limits. The plot thickens as the mystery ensues in this novel that is a cross between 'Twin Peaks' and 'Pleasantville'.
