Summer’s heating up in Seaview, Maine—and so is the gossip. When The Lighthouse Diner launches its new “healthy menu,” locals can’t get enough of Gus’s fresh Cobb Salad… until a rival café owner is found stabbed to death with one of his engraved kitchen knives.

With the town whispering and the sheriff eyeing Gus (again), retired librarian Hazel Parker and her quick-witted partner Millie Brewster toss themselves into another investigation—this one crisp, colorful, and deadly. Between jealous business partners, shady health fads, and a love triangle gone rotten, Hazel must uncover who turned wellness into murder.

But as the suspect list grows longer than the lunch rush, she realizes the killer’s not done carving up Seaview’s peace.

Because in this town, murder might be messy… but it’s always well-dressed.

This story is good however, the way the murder occurred and later discovered evidence doesn't match up (how is someone murdered in full view of a crowd, taken away by paramedics then later on its mentioned that they were attacked and moved to a different location. And when the suspect confesses their account of the murder isn't what took place at the scene of the crime.). Also, the suspect was taken into custody and confessed then was magically released or escaped we'll never know because it wasn't mentioned. And I have this app because I enjoy hearing the talented narrators read the books, not an automated voice. The emotions aren't always conveyed corrected.

Keep actual narrators!!
