A lot had happened in Lissa's life since that strange incident in the New York subway years ago, most of which had been decidedly unpleasant, so a weekend getaway with her best friends to see a heavy metal show seemed to be just what she needed to escape.

She hadn't expected chaos, or to get almost squashed to death by a rather large crowd surfer. And death was right on point since she suddenly found herself back in a familiar coffee shop she had convinced herself had at one time been a delusion.

But she recognized the handsome Reaper she had met so long ago. He was definitely not a delusion...and she was pretty sure the surge of joy she felt at seeing him was an abnormal reaction to her situation. So, what does one do when they find themselves once again in a state between life and death?

Order a coffee, of course.
