Story was ok

The story was okay, although a bit weak. A little too easy for 2 citizens to resolve a cold case. I would be willing to read the next edition to see where it goes.
In regards to virtual voice narration- NO. It's just lacking. I will avoid books in the future that have this feature.

There is potential here for a really great series…

I almost felt as if I were meeting the characters in the middle of the story. I’m wondering if this prequel was written after some other books in the series have already been published. The virtual computer generated narration did not enhance this book at all. I’m wondering if there are other books in the series And I might read/listen to a few of those.
