An angsty single mom hockey romance from bestselling author L A Cotton. Are you ready to fall in love with a Laker?

When Madison Reynolds accepts a dare to hit on the cute guy sitting alone at the bar, she doesn’t expect to see him again.

Enter Austin Hart.

Broody. Mysterious. With an icy stare that burns her to the core.

When Austin suggests they explore the undeniable chemistry between them, they agree it can be nothing more than a friends-with-benefits arrangement.

He’s Lakeshore U’s guarded goalie with no plans to settle down.

She’s the young single mom with the weight of the world on her shoulders.

Can Austin keep the pretty blonde and her daughter at arm’s length?

Or will Madi be able to show him that even the coldest hearts have the capacity for love?

*Cold as Ice is an 85,000-word standalone novel set in the Lakeshore U series.

I read this book first so the audiobook was a re-read. The second time round I fell more in love with this book.

I like a lonely guy romance and Austin is a loveable guy with a toughness that’s hard to crack.

✅ Sports Romance
✅ Single mum
✅ One night just isn’t enough

Austin is a complex guy with childhood trauma. Hockey is his escape and he doesn’t let people get close. When he meets Maddison he’s not looking for anything serious and luckily neither is she. What’s beautiful about this story is that it doesn’t feel forced. Their relationship grows as they both realise they need someone. Both have issues and emotional baggage. Their feelings mature like a good wine.

Excellent story with a big heart.

Big Hart
