Still Confused

Other than the bible, this is pretty much my favorite book. I don't understand why they are not reading/including the scriptures that precede each devotion. That's the whole point of a devotional book, a scripture and a summary and short thought-provoking synapses of said scripture to meditate on throughout your day. Why that critical bible scripture is not included is completely beyond me. It really is a travesty in what would have been an awesome reading of one of my favorite books.
However, now Audible shows that each chapter is skipping the first part of the chapter, like the book has been updated. But when I delete and reinstall it, the reading is still the same. So maybe the scripture is now included, I just don't get to hear it because I bought the book prior to the update? Idk, doesn't seem right, I'm just saying(ijs).
