This book was just amazing. I look at it as a manual in connecting. John really knows what he is talking about and can teach this topic inside and out.great personal anecdotes that bring the points to life. I have read this book several times and refer to it often as a guide during my life's journey

Excellent read. I would highly recommend for anyone interested in improving themselves.a very good read and well explained articles on how to understand and relate to individuals who make decisions based on different character traits.

Theory backed up by practice!!

This book feels more like a small, portable communications workshop than just a written down lecture.This book is a fantasticly smooth read. It delivers a multitude of really good information that definitely helps and does so in a seemless way. I feel more confident in social situations and have begun chatting with strangers more often which I was too scared to do!!!

A must listen in any relationship.

This book is excellent. Although I found the techniques challenging to implement. If one can commit to using these principles, they will go a long way to offering a better relationship with your partner. I cannot say enough good things about this book. Such simple techniques that have such a huge effect. He explains why conflict starts to begin with, and offers practical, real tools to diffuse it (or avoid it to begin with).

A worthwhile listen.

I really enjoyed this book. I wanted to read it to help myself in communicating with others, as I am not always the best at communicating and this is great. This book isn't some traditional style of "self help". This is a remarkably useful book. While we are taught how to listen and to speak, almost no one learns how to listen properly. I can tell if you are a poor writer or poor speaker but neither you or I can tell if you are a great listener. So simple in its message but so powerful if you can live it.
This is a book that works as a love instruction manual.
