I was expected a much deeper dive into this topic. I didn’t find this helpful.

not what I was expecting

At first I was exited to find a ASE book that was audible. This book is a good introduction to the what might be on the ASE exam but it doesn't go into depth on each of the drive line components. It will hit the common thing that most people in the industry already know just starting out. In my opinion it is more focused on medium duty vehicles not heavy duty vehicles. this book doesn't talk about air actuated splitter for heavy duty transmission as well as air actuated locking differentials if I remember correctly it doesn't even have anything about non syncronized transmission with clutch brakes. saying that I wouldn't recommend this book for someone trying to get there ASE.
