A Sophisticated Thriller

A compelling tale of intrigue along the French Riviera with a flawed protagonist who is faced with impossible moral choices and the consequential loss from his actions. The book is extremely well written with painstaking detail to put the reader right in the room with the action. This book should be made into a movie or Netflix series! There are so many exciting seemingly disparate pieces that all come together in a surprising end that leave you wanting for a sequel. My only reservation was with the narrator. He spoke very quickly as he raced through the pages and it took me 4 hours in to finally get comfortable with his interpretative reading. He seemed to settle down later and assist the listener visualize the different characters as the author intended. I would recommend reading the book instead of listening. Overall, an excellent and compelling read!
