The Bargain

The Job

Janey Duvall, newly bound consort to the Djinn Nicodemus Marsh, is having a few minor problems with the delivery of a contract; namely, the assassin is refusing to finish the job. Knowing this is not normal behavior, she decides that going to Beijing, the city the hit is supposed to take place, is the best course of action.

Marsh is intrigued by the idea, having a few of his own that involve Janey and an auction, and agrees to go, even calling in his marker from his most recent job of taming the fiery woman that became his consort to help with the investigation. When Marsh is faced with the task of transforming Janey for their investigation, will his glamour hold up to the scrutiny and allow them to prevail, or will he lose the one woman he could ever give his heart to?

Captivating story, well told

I really enjoyed listening to Consort, I felt like I was sucked into the world. There was action and personal drama/angst. This is definitely a must listen.

So much fun

Two short stories that pack one hell of a punch. Heavy magic and rogue assassins, steamy and hilarious, demons, djinn, fey and vampires…yes, please and may I have some more? LOVED these stories and characters and I’m looking forward to more! Marsh and Janey are so much fun!

Djinn and on it!

I received this as a free read in return for an honest review and I have to admit I wasn't disappointed. I have a fondness for djinn and Nicodemas Marsh was awesome. High-handed and sexy he finds himself tangling with a kick ass assassin whose penchant for naughty play matches his own. The sex was hot and characters intriguing. I even wanted to know more about the secondary characters, especially one particular vampire. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because I had a smidge if a hard time with the insta-lust they experience upon first meeting, which your easily distracted from because the ensuing scene is hot as hell. The narrator was good, a solid 4.5, but unfortunately I'm anal so the mispronunciation of 2 words made me mark it down a star. overall a great sexy paranormal read I highly recommend!
