"You might not realize what you're hooked on until you experience something that gives you a high...

Sherri Carter, a twenty-five-year-old, is devoted to her career and indulging in luxury. However, one tragic event sends her life spiraling out of control. Her once perfect world shatters, including her relationship with the man she loves, and she faces betrayals that make her question her trust in others. Seeking a fresh beginning, Sherri decides to leave all the drama behind.
Meanwhile, Kyle Wilkerson, a twenty-six-year-old investment banker and head of a family drug syndicate, is fixated on wealth. Known as a prominent figure in Houston, he rules the streets with a firm hand. Committing to a relationship is the last thing on his mind. In search of a new account manager to handle a crisis at his firm, he crosses paths with Sherri. Although Kyle has always kept business separate from pleasure, Sherri captivates him with her intelligence and beauty. Suddenly, Kyle finds himself drawn to a new kind of addiction, one that doesn't involve the drugs he deals.
As their fortunes begin to shift, Sherri's past and Kyle's future collide. Both are left questioning whether their meeting was fate or if there's a hidden agenda behind their unexpected encounter.

I liked this book but it could have been way better if properly edited. There were some typos that could have been avoided with a good review prior to publishing. This book was a bit disorganized which nearly made me stop the book short. The title of the book was about a Corporate Thug but we didn’t meet the character until 3 hours into the book. There was way too much time devoted to other story from characters that weren’t needed and not enough focus on the main character. The timeline jumps back and forth getting the perspective of another person from another point of view could have been time with the main characters focused on their story. The last chapter with Bella was no needed at all and felt like a wasted opportunity to dive into Sherri and Kyle.

Not bad, disorganized though
