Fantastic

Wow, hearing it was just as awesome as reading it.

The characters were remarkable. Tempest was a strong and fierce character which made us love listening to what was going on throughout the book. And I loved Maleria also and her attitude. My husband loved Logosi. He said that he was his favorite character.

The storyline was incredible. So full of snark, and wit in true Rourke fashion. It's a very well written story that kept us listening and entertained from beginning to end.

The narrator was phenomenal. We loved how she changed her voice to fit each character throughout the story and I could imagine each character clearly in my head as we listened to the book. We highly recommend this audiobook.

exactly how I imagined it

I fell in love with the author Stacey Rourke with another one of her titles--the journals of Octavia Hollows. I am so glad I found her as this series did not disappoint. The narrator did an excellent job of bringing the book characters to life and I cannot wait til book two is made available!!

If you gotta die, ending up in Carnage Crossing isn't the worse place to be. With a nod to Beetlejuice, Rourke has created a beautiful macabre tale that kept me glued to kindle and wanting more. I could not enough of the delightfully dark and boisterous new world. The world-building and character development were phenomenal. I am always amazed at the unique and fun new places Rourke takes me.
