"The tree of liberty must be refreshed at every opportunity...with the blood of our enemies." - General Terence Sanderson, USA, Retired (Head of the Black Flagged program)

At a luxury resort on the coast of Uruguay, Jessica Petrovich and a select team of Black Flagged operatives prepare to kill Dr. Anatoly Reznikov, the elusive bioweapons scientist responsible for designing and selling a lethal virus to America's enemies. At the same time, a Mossad assassination cell moves on a Russian mafiya boss believed to have offered Reznikov's bioweapons to the Iranians.

There's only one problem - both targets are located in the same hotel suite, and neither team knows the other is coming!

Covenant takes place between the fourth and fifth books of the Black Flagged series.

Here we are treated to a relatively short story chronicling another attempt by Black Flag operatives to finally close the case on Anatoly Reznikov. Black Flag’s smoothest operator, Jessica Petrovich is on hand with a small team to put an end to Reznikov’s long string of luck.

Reznikov in the crosshairs!

Another great Black Flagged adventure, and great performance by the narrator, but the story just suddenly ended, leaving me hanging!

Ended too abruptly!

These “X.5” novellas are not worth a credit, regardless of who the author is. And this is no exception. If it were a stand alone story with familiar characters, maybe. But dribbling in new information central to the series plot is just another way for publishers and authors to generate cash flow and does a disservice to loyal followers. No more X.5’s please.

Too short
