Good Intro

I thoroughly enjoyed this short story. The plot opens in a role reversal with our hero finding himself in a bear trap and being rescued by a fine damsel when she stumbles upon him. I listened to this as an audiobook and it was excellent. The writing is engaging and the narrator was very skilled in laying out the events. Even though it was a bit predictable, this tale succeeds because the reader (or listener) is transported mentally into a different world. To me that is the mark of a successful writer. I definitely want to read more from this author.

It was ok.

The narrator was ok. The story was meh. I understand how the first few books are introducing characters into the series, but it seems very disjointed to me. There is really nothing connecting the characters outside of monsters and hunters. I understand how the first two books essentially relate, but the third, not quite sure how it fits in outside of him being a hunter, unless the goal was just to introduce werewolves into the series. I feel like all of these could have been linked, better transitioned and combined into a single book, but that's just my opinion. Also, there's soooooo much inner monologuing. It gets old after a while.

This is another fast pace short story. I just wished it did not end as it did.

This audiobook has a great storyline I really enjoyed this story the author did a great job writing this story the Narrator did a great job telling the story I very much enjoyed listening to this audiobook
