Snow is not the only thing falling this December—spirits are, too. That's because this year's needlework convention in Nashville is tragically interrupted when Milwaukee shop owner Belle Hammermill tumbles nine stories to her untimely death. At first, Betsy Devonshire thinks the fall was just an unfortunate accident. The trouble is, Belle's unsavory reputation causes suspicions to flare. She has plenty of enemies with more than enough motive. Leave it to Betsy and the other knitting hands to unravel the clues that will put the killer to rest for a long winter's night.

I really enjoyed this story. It was well written and kept my interest. Excellent narration.

Fun mystery

Really enjoying the series but not a fan of the new narrator. The characters voices aren’t distinct enough and she pronounces the main characters name wrong. Hoping the original narrator is back in the next book.

I was hooked on the Needlecraft mysteries and LOVED the stories read by Susan Boyce. Sadly I couldn't get into the books read by Melissa Hughs, I literally had to turn the book off it was like listening to a boring high school teacher trying to read a dictionary to class. what a disservice to have the books read without any emotion or voice changes for each character. I won't read anything this narrator reads again.

Sad narration

It was hard to enjoy this book since they changed narrators after 7 books. I don’t think this narrator did a bad job but the characters sounded different and it messed up the book for me. The story was good.

Story line got a little slow at times, but there were enough twist and turns to keep me interested without unnecessary, rude, expletives and language. I love the references to the needle work.

Cozy mystery
