With Seong-Jae haunting his dreams, Malcolm is practically bewitched, his trust in Seong-Jae growing deeper and deeper as both men learn to rely on each other.

But when the murder triggers memories from both Seong-Jae's and Malcolm's shadowed pasts, will the secrets they share bring them closer . . . or drive them further apart?

So many things I wasn't expecting... I think this is the episode that has me convinced I will keep reading/listening to this series to its resolution.

Great story. Great narration.

Similarly to other reviewers of this book, I will only say that the rooftop scene was a masterpiece. I've known for a long time that the author excels at crafting the fictional world, intricate characters, and authentic dialogues, but that scene...*chef's kiss*

Furthermore, in this book, we get to know additional characters more closely. In several instances, I didn't think I would come to like some of these characters and completely stop liking others. I wonder if the author will continue to mix things up in my head in the upcoming episodes :).

Overall, I highly recommend the series. The romantic thread is evident, although it unfolds very slowly, but the entire action happening around the characters and their colleagues is as gripping as the best Netflix series :)

Another excellent installment in this series

This is such an interesting and enthralling series. Following the lives of detective partners Malcolm and Seong-Jae, the cases they investigate and the teasing romantic interest in each other.

The cases are dark and disturbing, and the men are complicated and definitely not shiny, happy people. They are combustible and frequently at odds, yet they are drawn to one another.

This latest case is disturbing and uncovers a truly frightening underbelly of wealthy people.

Along the way, secrets are teased, and Malcolm and Seong-Jae seem to be making progress together and yet not at all. It’s a kind of one step forward - one step back kind of situation.

I love everything about this series…. My favorite thing is the relationships between the all the recurring characters and their character development. The love-hate relationship between Yun and Malcolm keeps me at the edge of my seat and I love the pace at which their relationship is being developed. It all seems very natural and right.

Obsessed 💯🙌🏾
