Fun book.

Being a self taught hunter this book reminds me of my ups and downs from bow hunting.

Respect and reverence

would have been a bit more spiritual if traditional equipment been used

A deep, personal, and tasteful telling of the hunt

For hunters and nonhunters, the stories of the hunt will draw you in to experience the chase. The author offers that time afield is a sensory feast and the pursuit is described in a fashion that is neither revolting nor bloodlust. The harvesting of an animal is anti-climatic yet the primary purpose, one of accomplishment that carries necessity, pride, and respect of all things natural and primal.
