Crowned by the Fae is the standalone prequel novella to the Fae-blessed series, which starts with Blessed by the Fae. Although there is humor throughout, it does not have a happily ever after. The main series does, however.

Sooo good

Oh what an epic adventure. Don't expect a happy ending. But at least it’s a satisfactory ending. And by satisfactory I mean that the ending gets resolved will and some high emotions are sated. I definitely want to read the next book! This is a high stakes fae fantasy story. You learn aloe about the characters and everything that is going on. They are in the middle of a war, and just found out that there is a traitor among their ranks. Holy crickets I did not see that traitor coming at all! Grace noble does an excellent job narrating! I was drawn in and couldn't put it down.

This is good and I would love to know more

So this gets a solid 4 stars from me. I really enjoyed the performance with the multiple POV. The story at first was a little strange (not a bad strange, but just took a minute until I got into the story). Once I got into the story, I highly enjoyed the story and almost teared at a gut punch (IYKYK). This story talks about Ash and her story to becoming queen and what happened along the way. it's a short novella and how she didn't choose someone but chose someone else instead of this which comes back to haunt her later on in life. I don't want to say much more because I don't want to spoil it but if you like Novella's and starting to learn characters, then start with this.

Great prequel!

A great short introduction to the world. And the narrator was fantastic. I can’t wait to continue the series.

Action packed short story

This was an action packed short story. Ash is a strong and intriguing MFC who kills a dragon to get in the good grace of the Queen so that she can join the crown guardian and help fight. The war between the Seelie and Unseelie fae are threatening to destroy the world, it must end.

This story was an interesting intro into the Fae-Blessed world. It is quite short, though longer than the free audio you get when you sign up for Jada’s newsletter. Jada has done a good job creating an intriguing world that I can hardly wait to learn more about.

Grace Noble’s narration was well done and kept my attention. Her speed of reading was pretty good though I did listen at 1.2x but that is close to normal for me.

Warning: This is part of a series, so the ending isn’t much of an ending but more of a pause to me. This part doesn’t end in a Happily ever after so please be aware before you listen. (I was wanted about this by Jada before listening and appreciated the warning and enjoyed the story despite this fact.)
