Cruising Cermak Road

Troy, who is a Little Village-street cruiser in Chicago, had dated Nacho for a couple of months. Nacho is a very handsome drifter who can be very charming when going gay-for-pay to make money for his drug addiction. In time, Troy discovers that the man of whom he has become obsessed is an abusively dangerous and criminal gangbanger. When Troy received a series of threatening texts, he easily figured out the anonymous threats from various unknown phone numbers were either coming from Nacho or one of his criminal acquaintances. When Troy avoids Nacho due to the threats, Nacho becomes adamant in wanting Troy to return because he desperately needs Troy's generosity for his drugs. To avoid Nacho, Troy begins cruising for new acquaintances a distance from where Nacho and his fellow gang members are often found on the west end of 26th Street in Little Village. Rather than cruising the west end of Little Village where he had met and dated Nacho, he cruises the eastern end of Little Village on Cermak Road. He has figured out that Nacho won't be coming to the eastern end of Little Village because a rival gang populates those neighborhoods. Cruising Cermak Road on the eastern end of Little Village results in excitingly different adventures for Troy. Though he had preferred street cruising the western end of 26th Street where he no longer feels it is safe for him to travel, he finds his new cruising area to have many unique opportunities for meeting other very desirable drifters who make themselves available to men like Troy who cruise for sex.
