A Reader's review says it better than we could:
"This is my 4th pregnancy, and I thought I had read every book out there on labor and delivery. Well, I was wrong, and this is the BEST book I’ve read about concrete, practical, evidence-based techniques to shorten labor. This is not a book about positive birth affirmations (though I love those too); this is a book that gives you tips and strategies that I wish I had known with my previous deliveries. It’s a quick read and will leave you feeling more confident and prepared. Buy it!"

I found the info in this book to be truly calming, educational, and clear. Comparing it with •Birth without fear” I highly recommend this book over that one because this book ACTUALLY tells you what to expect and gives you solutions for how you could respond. It also offers journal prompts and practical exercises along the way so you can internalize the material.

I will be listening to this with my partner because I think it’s simple, straightforward, and practical. I feel confident that this book alone would greatly increase my partner’s confidence and ability to support me in labor and delivery.

The auto-narration is the largest and most unavoidable downfall of this otherwise wonderful read. The robot doesn’t know how to follow syntax and cadence rules so about once per minute there’s an odd sentence, a word that gets mis-pronounced or said with the incorrect emphasis, or a total brain fart by the robot. For example, it said one thousand thirteen o clock instead of ten thirteen for 10:13 and another time it said 99 eff instead of Fahrenheit (F)

But hey listening to the annoying robot while you practice your calming breathing techniques to keep you focused could actually help you prep for labor! So maybe it ends up being a good thing?

Robots are still not humans, otherwise great!

I wish this was narrated by a person, the computer generated version isn’t great. But otherwise i really enjoyed the content of this book, my husband will read it as well. Thank you

Loved this book

No one edited this after changing it into an audiobook. Every chapter you have to listen to about a minute and a half of the robot saying “underscore” and if you skip it you typically end up skipping the first sentence of the chapter. Overall the book has good information but its performance is horrible.

Good information but bad editing
