In 2116, the world's nations have become militarized. Zoe is a college student in a technical academy for the gifted. She's never had great social skills because her sole purpose in life has been to become a mechanical engineer to help end the world wars that have ravaged Earth for a thousand years. Who needs friends when they've been recruited to save the planet?

When Zoe finds an unconscious man during her morning run, she realizes that there's more going on than what's she's been told. She begrudgingly starts to help him. When she learns that he's not quite human, she's not sure how to help...but she'll need to do a lot more to help them both when she discovers their mutual attraction.

Also, for a novella with a beefcake cover, there wasn’t anything more than a kiss.
