THEIR LIVES ARE ON THE LINE…

Judith Spears, DS Raymond Collins, and DC Sarah Eastly are tested once again when murder comes to their leafy corner of the planet. The idyllic steam railway is the site for a grisly murder… and an even grimmer collection of railway enthusiasts....

The irrepressible Judith Spears must use her unique skills to untangle petty rivalries, devious plans, and back-stabbing. Nothing is as it seems, and nobody is above suspicion – especially when an attempt is made on Judith's life…

For lovers of Richard Osman, Tom Hindle, and Ian Moore – Judith Spears is cosy crime that will put a smile on your face.

This was another very engaging and intricate mystery plot by this author.

The characters are well drawn, each with their own struggles and motivations. Some if the scenes had my heart beating faster as I rooted for the “good guys” and geared those with ill intentions.

I look forward to reading more in this series as the plots thicken and the private lives of the lonely main characters unfold and, hopefully, become fuller and more fulfilled.

I highly recommend this series to other fans of clever, “cosy” mysteries - you will love the well-thought-out plots and engaging characters.

I’m growing fond of these characters

Not only is there suspense and romance, the humor with the drama really makes the book special

Love the plot. Don’t particularly care for virtual voice. It doesn’t have any emotion. I prefer a human voice so an actor gets paid.

The monotone voice with no emotion was so irritating it completely ruined the story. It was difficult to follow the story with no inflection in the voice, I couldn’t tell which character was talking. The pauses in the middle of sentences were confusing and mispronounced words like pronouncing “wiffy” for WIFI was ridiculous!

Virtual Voice narration is the WORST!
