This Holiday, the Cookies Aren’t the Only Things That Are Killer...

Murder, magic, and mistletoe collide in this laugh-out-loud, pulse-pounding holiday cozy paranormal mystery that’s perfect for fans of Juliet Blackwell, Addie Woolridge, and supernatural sleuths with sass.

In the enchanted town of Mistletoe Grove, the holidays are more hexed than merry when magical citizens start turning up in deadly, spellbound Christmas displays. For kitchen witch Prudence Blackwood and her reluctant partner—a brooding vampire detective named Viktor Constantine—the countdown to Christmas becomes a race to stop a killer with a flair for festive murder.

As the Moonlight & Sage Detective Agency is dragged into a case tied to a centuries-old magical vendetta, they’ll face cursed candy canes, possessed holiday décor, and each other’s tempers. With Prue’s enchanted baking and Viktor’s undead instincts, they might survive—if the killer doesn’t turn the town’s Holiday Gala into a graveyard of glitter first.

first the narration is AI
second the book itself is confusing. im sure the repetition is intentional but it just makes the book really confusing.

the I think I had the substance of the whole plot by the end of chapter one, repeatedly. Her cookies frosted over. They detected various things. The vampire Detective perceived things (2 or 3 times after he was already frozen). It's just a very long slow drag. The diction is perfect the reading is perfect. The story is not done. It's a short story. Perhaps. the denouement is going to take far too long for me to get to when I have to hear the same things over and over and over again. I think already 2 people have been frozen twice so... don't use the same exact sentence...I wonder if this was written by ai? I'm deleting it and moving on.
