A Certain man was driving his Prado TX, on the highway called Jinja Road in Uganda, when he met an old lady, walking alone, along the highway, carrying a heavy luggage on her head. She seemed to be very tired and it was a hot sunny day. Driven by compassion, the driver stopped to give the elderly lady a lift. The lady appreciated so much and decided to sit in the back seat. The man drove off full of joy for he had helped a woman of God. After he had driven for around 50KMS, he looked through the rear mirror to check on the passenger he had given a lift, to his surprise, the old woman was still carrying her luggage on her head and tears were coming out of her eyes. The old woman didn’t realize that she had to put her luggage down; she didn’t realize that the same car carrying her was the same car, carrying her luggage. That’s exactly the same thing which happens to us, when we are in Christ Jesus; we forget that the same Jesus we are in, is the same Jesus carrying our burdens. We shouldn’t “help” Jesus to carry the cross, He has enough power to do so all by Himself.
He says, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls”. Matthew 11:28-29.
The precious blood and sufferings of our Lord Jesus Christ entitles you to live in a state of wholeness and completes, it's an insult to his sacrifice to settle for something less in life!
