What did you love best about Daddy-Long-Legs?

I watched the daddy-long-legs anime and got the notion to listen to the original work. The performance was entertaining and attractive for any listener. The book is a classic in every aspect and it does give a strong framework of the charachters indirectly which is quite amazing. I enjoyed the listening experience. It got me through the atmosphere of the book perfectly.The story itself has its magnetism. I would say it has a way of provoking emotions and the need for freedom. To be independent in a world of freedom, to have the courage to step forward. To love and be loved in a rather diffuse kind of way without materialism. This work is original in its idea although not quite known from my perspective. It has its simple way of defining great things.

I watched the anime and listened to the book. You still get the same excitement even when you know the end. Quite tearful...
