A fraught family reunion. A corpse by the coast. Can an amateur sleuth crack this egg‑xtraordinary mystery, or will she be left scrambling for answers?

Spring signifies new beginnings, yet rookie antiques expert Dotty Sayers is uncertain about her future. A colleague’s invitation to Northumberland, in search of hidden family treasure, offers her a fresh start.

Once there, she befriends her neighbour and assists with a prestigious project at a nearby castle. But when her mentor vanishes and a body washes up in a secluded cove, Dotty wonders why the people around her keep turning up dead.

Determined to help, budding amateur detective Dotty grows increasingly frustrated as the police ignore her insights. With the inquest approaching, she must decide whether to crack open the case, even if it sends the local inspector as mad as a March hare.

Can Dotty put aside her doubts and pull a rabbit out of the hat to ensure justice prevails?

Visit the historic county of Northumberland with the Dotty Sayers Antique Mystery series, where springtime blossoms with mystery and murder among castles, coastal villages and a family treasure hunt. If you delight in entertaining characters, complex family dynamics, an inquisitive female amateur sleuth and her cat, and charming English settings steeped in local history, you will be captivated by Victoria Tait’s latest British cozy mystery.

Join an Easter hunt for hidden truths in Northumberland with Daffodils and Deadly Deeds today.

This would have been a good little cozy mystery except for the AI narration. People are paying for Audible books and yet AI is "reading". Lack of voice inflections, pauses, changes in tone, texture and characters voices are all contributing to a bad reflection on the poor author.

The story and characters are okay but not memorable. I enjoyed learning about North Umberland and its surroundings.

Thankfully the AI narration is acceptable—better than most. There is even some voice modulation. We’re still not up to male and female voices or accents 🤨

Entertaining enough but I’ll move on.

This story was good and interesting enough to keep me listening, though it was monotoned and difficult to figure out who said or thought what. AI is just snot getting it for me when it comes to audiobooks.

Good Story if you don't mind AI Read.
