great inspirational mystery full of suspense

What an addicting inspirational suspense story! I was hooked from the first line. This story waste no time jumping right into the action and the mystery. This is the story of Kiera, who is found as a teenager bloody and beaten on the side of the road by a few years older police officer Ethan. He is her savior and she is the case that keeps him up at night. Kiera never tells anyone the details of what happened when she was kidnapped and the trauma becomes too much. She moves away and starts a new life. Ethan is haunted by the fact that he can't solve Kiera's case. It cases him to quit the force and start his own security company in another town. Eight year after the incident they have a chance meeting. The attraction is immediate between them. It turns out it was always there whether each other knew the other even knew they existed. But Kiera is still traumatized from being a victim and she won't let anyone in. Ethan is determined to fight for her. He knows they belong together and he won't let her run away. But his obsession with solving a case that she just wants to forget may hurt them more than they know. This is a great mystery with that romance that grips the heart. You will root on for Ethan and Kiera to find happiness together. And just when you think they have it get ready for twists and turns and full blown action to take over. Macy Williams did a great job narrating as both characters. I felt this story fully and I can't wait for more. There is a cliffhanger but it's well worth it!

good mystery / romance

I enjoyed it. The story was good and the villain was a surprise.
I would love to have someone like the hero who not only had always wanted her but the way he took care of her and took his time patiently waiting for her to come to him.
I'm in Kentucky so it was also nice to have a story close to home and not set in a big city.

only thing I would change is I would have had duel narration of a male narration because besides her most the other characters are male so it was a bit off ( just my opinion) wasn't much change in voices just all the same tone throughout. I didn't feel the emotional connection narrator should be bringing across.

I liked the story it was a good fine first time hearing from this author hope there is a book two I would get it but the female voice could have been a little better narration seemed a little dull over all it was a good read😊.....

Exciting Read

Great book. Well written. Hooked me immediately. I really got into the characters. Definitely recommend.
