Nobody will touch what belongs to us, including the women we claim. Brutal. Fierce. Relentless. Everything I do I do for my family name. Now they’re giving me another task—take the bride my father chooses for me. They call it business. I call it revenge. Only one empire with mafia ties can rule. I’ll use her as a pawn. Break her down. She’s already damaged from the life she’s led. But then something happens. She rises from the ashes…and learns how to break me too. **A hero with an out-of-control possessive streak and the woman forced to be his bride. The claws come out, but the surrender is so sweet… DAMAGED BRIDE is a novella-length romance and first in the Blood Empire Series. Happily Ever After? You’ll have to take a chance.** Crime Fiction Horror Gothic

If the story hadn’t been so intriguing I never would’ve suffered through the narrator. I’ll be certain to stay away from virtual narrators from now on!!!

The virtual voice was horrible!

The story doesn’t transition smoothly and I’m just as confused as the characters on wtf is going on if not more.

A Mess

Spoilers!
I hate leaving poor reviews, but I hate wasting time on books that I would never had read had I known how crappy they were.
There are several things I can bring up, but the one that I feel the need for potential readers to know before starting this book is: the main male character gives his wife to another man-married man with a violent wife-all without the main female knowing that her husband gave her to this man to create a stronger alliance between the two mafia families.
Disgusting.
She gets away-if case you were wondering, yet that doesn’t make his compliance with her being raped in the slightest bit okay.

Disappointing
