Dangerous

The story of Reese and Sadie is dangerous. Dangerous to your time and your heart. You will not stop reading until the book is finished. Which for me took longer because I kept crying. It raised many emotions in me. It was so beautifully written.

Sadie has her hands full with running a bakery and unfortunately taking care of her brother when she knows it a bad idea. He is now apart of a club and is bringing all the drama to her front door.

Sadie has been struggling trying to keep the bakery doors open and a roof over her head and of course not allowing anyone to help her. Reese loves Sadie's bakery but his eyes has really been on her. Reese overheard things going on and decides to slowly insert himself info her life.

Reese and Sadie's story is a slow simmer that burns hot! Reese wants to keep her safe but also allow her to be the person she really is. He hold nothing back from her and inserts himself into her life whole heartedly. He will stop at nothing to protect her, even if that means destroying what could be? Is he strong enough to take her on as well as her henchman brother?

Riley Edwards has given us another fabulous book and the narrators have done it yet again!

Entertaining characters, story, performance

I love the depth in the characters and the brotherhood and sisterhood among all the characters. The suspense keeps the story flowing well. The romance adds a nice flavor though I'm not a fan of the steam at all. It's an entertaining story and the performance is very good.

Great story and narration

Another great story in the Takeback series with Reese and Sadie. I loved Reese’s protectiveness of Sadie but there were times she was too stubborn and proud but I admired her determination. I loved seeing everyone throughout the book and working together to help Sadie. Narrators Teddy Hamilton and Maxine Mitchell were wonderful as always bringing the story and characters to life.

New Takeback Fave

Dangerous Games by Riley Edwards is small-town, big found-family romance at its best! The way this team rallies for and connects with each other’s significant others is heart-melting. Riley drops some tough love truth bombs that hit close to home and made my heart squeeze. Riley Edwards continues to outdo herself in this incredible Takeback series; Dangerous Games is an outstanding blend of suspense, heart, healing, and swoony romance.

I loved the pairing of Maxine Mitchell and Teddy Hamilton for the narration of Sadie and Reese. Maxine and Teddy’s character choices, tone, and pacing complemented each other perfectly to bring Riley’s heartfelt, gritty, alluring love story off the page. Maxine’s emotionally-charged performance of the spirited, resilient, feisty Sadie was outstanding. Teddy’s portrayal of the cool-headed, domineering, seductive smartass, Reese was swoon-worthy. I am loving the takeback series and i loved every second of this fun, fast-paced, and flirty audiobook!
