From Best-Selling Author J R RICE — a New Horror has Taken Flight.

The Second Installment of the new BANE COUNTY Spin-Off Series.

Mystery, Suspense, an edge-of-your-seat Thriller with characters you’ll fall in love with. An old-school, heart-pounding Horror Story with a Whole lot of Bite.

Monday, July 6, 2015— The Independence Day celebration and its long three-day weekend were over in the sleepy little town of Lakes End. A lake full of visiting tourists, consuming far too much alcohol, had somehow managed to survive without a major mishap or tragedy. The large crowds had finally dissipated and the small lakeside village was returning to normal.

Sheriff Jackson Campbell and Deputy Tracy Franks had been hoping for a quiet week when the report of a dead body arrived—a body that had been drained of blood, and had an unusual wound on its neck. The man reporting the body had blamed a Vampire for the death, an outlandish claim—or was it?

I love this series, Bane County, but the two new Jackson Campbell books even though I really like them the creatures could be a little more. Not as much people and more monsters.

Another home run

I really enjoy the way the book is written. It gives just enough details and background to keep my interest without drowning me with information I don’t care about. The author writes in a way that is like having a conversation with a close friend but also keeps the storyline moving. No lag. No drag. I’m left satisfied with this book while anticipating the next one!

Whoa! Great Story, So Well-written!
