Great story and excellent narration

We live in Oregon and appreciate the setting and characters. Pretty accurate banter between the police and sheriffs. A good balance between a mystery and likable characters.

Ms. Jennings just keeps getting better!

She's a masterful weaver of stories, with believable characters and character development - and vividly described settings. Good back-stories too, which lend depth. I have read all of Ms. Jennings' books, and can't wait until the next one comes out !!

I liked story

It continues on with Port Sterling story. Very good. I am looking forward to the next one.

Thoroughly enjoyed this one .... NOT book 5

I thoroughly enjoyed the first 4 books of the Port Stirling series with John McLain as narrator. I immediately bought book 5 without previewing it.

Oh no!

A new narrator without the personality and voice inflection of Mr. McLain. The characters became dull and indistinguishable, with Matt Haynes narrating. The new narrator ruined it for me. I couldn't leave a review after only a few chapters, so I returned it for credit.

Sadly, it ends for me with book 4 "Dark Sands"
