During the coldest winter on record, an EMP sends America back into the Stone Age. It’s been a week without power. No phones. No computers. Nothing. As the crisis unfolds, one family seeks sanctuary from the cold on the city's outskirts.

An EMP explodes over Washington, DC, and the world comes to a screeching halt. As society falls into dismay, Harper Murphy, a skilled army quartermaster/single mother, charges headlong into the escalating chaos to save the only thing she holds dear: her son.

In a world rife with chaos, how far would a mother go to protect her family?

I enjoyed this series. There are despicable characters as well as some you will love. Nothing new for the genre but a solid story and many may learn a thing or two.i e enjoyed other stories by these authors as well.
Narration by Cheryl May was great.

I enjoyed it!

In fairness, the two titles by Clay Wise are worth your credit, but they are dragged down by the amateurish over use of weird adjectives in JS Donovan's contributions. The Donovan stories are so bad, it's almost empowering - if he can get away with this kind of schlock, then anybody who can pass a high school english class can become a novelist.

Cheryl May's lifeless delivery accentuates Donovan's poor writing, but she does rather better with the Clay Wise books.

Horrible writing by JS Donovan, mediocre narration
