Darwin's theory of evolution is accepted by most educated Americans as simple fact. This easy acceptance, however, hides from us the many ways in which evolution - as an idea - shapes our thinking about a great many things. What if this idea is wrong? What if "evolution" is just a word that covers up scientific ignorance of how the wonders of the living world could have been created?

Berkeley law professor Phillip Johnson looks at the evidence for Darwinistic evolution the way a lawyer would - with a cold dispassionate eye for logic and proof. His discovery is that scientists have put the cart before the horse. They prematurely accepted Darwin's theory as fact and have been scrambling to find evidence for it - mostly unsuccessfully. As the evidentiary difficulties have piled up, scientists have clung to the theory out of fear of encouraging religious fundamentalism, and in the process have turned belief in Darwinism into their own religion.

The Edge Of Evolution, which will give you the detailed science behind the argument against Darwinian macro-evolution before you read the coordinated logical problems with Darwin's theory, which are presented in this book. Johnson's presentation is clear and thoughtful and logical, and simply points out what the macro-evolutionists can no longer hide: Darwin's theory of the ultimate origin of life simply doesn't work. (The rapidity with which Dawkins' little trolls rush in to give negative votes to positive reviews of such books as this shows how scary the truth can be. Vote away!)

This writer reveals how easy it is for academia to feed lies to an unsuspecting public, who holds the educated in such high esteem.
The Reader's Queen's English accent made this a very enjoyable read! Highly recommended just because of this along with the brain opening content.

Mankind, has embraced lies in place of the truth!

I'm glad I'm finally hearing some of the opposing view points of darwinism and evolution. evolution always seems like such a complete idea until you start looking at the parts. then you realize, they still don't have much of clue.

Strong British accent, long sentences and writing style makes this hard to listen to. For example: “tautology” was pronounced “tortology.” “What did he just say?” is what I am constantly asking myself. Information is good though. Conclusion: You will also want a written format.
