Dawn That Breaks in the 4th in the Mynart Mystery Thriller series by Addison Michael. Just when it seems that Paige, James and Stephen are at their breaking points, something happens that’s worse! These characters have to endure and overcome all their challenges in order to get the life they deserve. So many twists and unexpected turns until its the end of the book. The book is told from many different points of view that don’t always agree. A lot of things are tied up, but some are still hanging. The narration by Mira Williams is outstanding. Her tremendous skills creates unique voices, accents and inflections for the many characters. She does a great job flipping back and forth between all the characters /chapter narrators. Her performance bring this thriller to life.

In this fourth book of the series, already defined characters are shining through with additional backstory, insight, and emotional context as calamity Paige continues riding a trainwreck called life. Each unexpected twist in the story and behaviors from the cast add nuanced layers and deepen the mysteries that keep the series progressing at an impressive pace. Narration from Mira Williams is challenged to go deeper as well, with what seems like an enlargement of male characters in these chapters. Speaking of enlargements and male characters, Paige and some of the other female leads are getting their freak on with a bit more regularity, all told with class and style. I'm sweating just thinking about book five. [Disclosure: I received this title for free and listened at 2.2x.]

This was my first experience with Addison Michael's work, and it was fascinating. Reeling from her daughter's mysterious disappearance, Paige's mind fractured. This book related Paige's journey in her recovery, and her search for her daughter. The story had some surprising twists. I admired that the author introduced some unusual mental fugues. Although I could follow the story without having read the first three books in the series, I do think that I didn't feel the emotional connection that I might have if I had read them. Mira Williams' narration was great, and her performance added to the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Dawn That Breaks (Book 4) finally gives Paige some semblance of a normal life at the end. It’s been a long and difficult road to get there, filled with twists, setbacks, and moments where hope seems to appear just when it’s needed. Not everything is fully sorted out yet, but the ending does offer a sense that things may finally be settling.

Some of the sections from Carly’s POV felt a bit slower for me. While they were clearly important to the story, those parts dragged slightly compared to the rest of the book.

The narration, as with the earlier books, is top-notch and really helps bring the story and tension to life.
Overall: 3.75/5 ⭐
