The essence of DeFi is that we interact with peers - there is no brick and mortar and all of the associated costs. Savings and lending are reinvented. Trading takes place with algorithms far removed from traditional brokerages.

The book conducts a deep dive on some of the most innovative protocols such as Uniswap and Compound. Many of the companies featured in the book you might not have heard of - however, you will in the future.

Could have been a blog…

Pretty basic primer on defi…was hoping for more depth and analysis vs a collection of definitions and general overview of topics.

Lots of bias

Authors more interested in proving their ideological points. And BCE... Is that anything like BC?

Good read for beginners

Explains the concepts of defi well, albeit more geared toward new crypto users that are comfortable with verbiage. Nothing revolutionary for a crypto native.

extremely hard to understand

this book is informative but you have to listen to parts over and over because there choice of words are complex it's not a easy listen
