First, Lizzie lost her best friend...
Who then returned from the dead...
And now the rest of her friends have started dying...

When Lizzie inherits her late uncle’s secluded estate, she expects nothing more than a rustic cabin in the woods. However, within minutes of exploring her newfound property, her friend is brutally murdered. Soon, other friends begin dying, only to return as haunting apparitions. Lizzie must unravel the dark secrets hidden within the estate before everyone she knows becomes another dead friend.

With her uncle’s passing, Lizzie inherits an obscene amount of money and an isolated property with a cabin and barn in the woods. It becomes clear that knowing Lizzie is a death sentence and each death is intricately connected to her! With friend after friend dying, Lizzie tries to figure out what is real and what is not before she joins them!

The author, Jason Davis, is a masterful storyteller! His talent for turning ordinary actions or items into nightmare-filled tales is captivating. The plot twists are phenomenal and entirely unexpected. When Lizzie's friend was being murdered, I expected an apocalyptic storyline, only to discover something far more compelling. His attention to detail is impeccable, ensuring the narrative flows smoothly. He develops each character appropriately within the narrative. His use of dialogue is authentic and seamless. I found Lizzie's confusion on the realities to be immersive for the listener.

The narrator, Ivory Tiffin, gives an engaging performance. She speaks clearly with appropriate tonal inflections that fully captivate and immerse the listener. I found her pace and delivery to be smooth and flawless as well. She truly brought the narrative to life!

This isn't my first time enjoying Jason Davis' books; he's a highly talented author with a remarkable ability to fully immerse the listener in his narratives.

I felt like the ending got a little rushed and confusing, it kind of fizzled out. Overall it was an interesting story that made my work walks much more enjoyable. Looking forward to more of Jason’s works in the future.
