Commissar Ciaphas Cain is a renowned and revered hero of the Imperium, a man who has faced and survived some of the vilest creatures the universe can throw at him. But when he is sent to a river-world, he must deal with a dangerous enemy, an enemy whose true identity remains unknown. As his vessel traverses the straits of the planet, Cain must uncover the face of this new foe so that he can understand and escape it. Caught in the enemy crossfire, the commissar has no place to run and his nerve will be tested to the very limits.

My favorite Commisar. The narrator(s) really bring the stories to life. I can't wait for the rest of the series to come out.

Bring out the rest of the stories ASAP!

none has the same voice as in the actual audio books...
also the effects are slightly too loud to make the dialogue easily distinguishable

everyone sounds wrong

If you love Warhammer stories that don't take themselves too seriously I recommend this. This is not Cain's best story but is a good way to burn some time and get more backstory for Cain.

If you like Cain I highly suggest this.

It is obvious if you read the story info, but this is not the same narrator as the other Cain novels. The story and performance are fine, but it is not the same humor and experience as the mainline novels have.

Fine story but different cast

Not bad. The voice actor sounds like he would make an exception Emperor Palpatine comfortably

Cain is Cain once again
