Unusual story line, enjoyable characters, good reader.

The interactions of the characters, a teenager that didn’t make me want to muzzle them, and adults that didn’t jump right into bed. Thank you!

Nice start to a series

This was a good book and sets a good tone for the rest of the series which looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun to read. I enjoyed learning about the backstories of the main character and how it was brought forward. The story goes by fast which is good because the author told a compelling story that was the right length. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Not what I expected

I expected something a little more mature. This book is more for late teens. A tree as the father-- that was a bit too silly for me. Sadly, I didn't finish the book.

I'm giving this book 2.75 stars... It was just an okay book. The father daughter situation was kind of weird, and wished it went more into that relationship.. but you get what you get... i suppose...

Not entirely my cup of tea

Story has a lot of potential but the timing was far too spread up to allow me to suspend my disbelief. BUT it is a very cute story! Needles was absolutely the reason I finished this book, I adore a snarky side character and he's the best!
