As someone currently battling major depressive disorder everything explained was correct. The only difference is that as an introvert it makes it much harder to deal with people in moments of an episode. Being misunderstood and abandoned often times makes me want to give up. But I refuse to let the demon win!

This book has been of great value to understand my girl and help her in a way that she can feel free and not pushed in any way.

I felt like this story was written about me. Every single chapter convinced me that I've had clinical depression since I was a child. I definitely am going to listen to this book again as soon I'm finished writing this review. I know without a doubt I missed a lot because I was dumb founded listening and realizing there was an actual disorder for the way I feel each and every day.
This book was literally a light bulb moment.

I feel like I'm meeting myself for the first time.

I was expecting this to be a “how to deal with depression” as a person that suffers with it but it’s not. It’s more of a explanation for someone that is dealing with a person suffering from depression. It gives more of in-depth of why someone has depression and how to communicate with them.

Not what I thought
