The Dear Sleep audiobook is a collection of letters written by historic figures like Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Mary Wollstonecraft, Vincent Van Gogh, and many more.

Each letter is lovingly read in a slow, soporific tone both with and without music by Kim (UK accent) and Molly (USA accent).

There are four sections:

  • Section 1 - Molly spoken
  • Section 2 - Kim spoken
  • Section 3 - Molly with music
  • Section 4 - Kim with music

Choose a section, hit play, and fall asleep in minutes!

We wish you sweet dreams friends....

Molly and Kim have the most neutral, soothing voices to read one into a deep sleep. Individually they read from a collection of letters that may have been riveting at one time (debatable), but excerpted from the classic, the selected readings are out of context and uninteresting enough to coax the active mind into a relaxed state. Mind numbing, yet brilliant. It’s a massive improvement from the naps taken in high school English class. This is the way to quiet the mind and fall asleep naturally. Sweet dreams….

Here's the thing: sometimes I want a bedtime story, in which I'm more likely to listen to Kim because the pacing is just a little faster. And sometimes I want to be lulled, just have the comfort of a soothing voice, and there's a quality to Molly's that almost hypnotic. And if, listening to either, I just happen to get through an entire letter, well then I'll be a bit more literate than the night before. So far, I've drifted off as intended, no matter which one I listen to. I just might be able to toss the Ambien entirely.

Inventive mix of literature and sedative

What happens when a filmmaker and an actress (who also narrates audiobooks) get together and swap stories about not sleeping in a year?

Well…Dear Sleep” is what happens.

We loved the idea of falling asleep to personal letters from a bygone era when people wrote letters imbued with deeper feelings to one another read in a slow soporific (boring) tone.

And because some folks like music and some don’t we offered the option.

As strange as it may sound I can now fall asleep to my own droning voice—with or without music—and sometimes it’s Kim’s melodic tones that are exactly what the sleep doctor prescribed1

We hope in 2022 ‘Dear Sleep’ ushers you gently into dreamland..

Even I fall asleep to my own voice..
