fun and enjoyable

just the right amount of fun and mystery. I love the characters and the intrigue.

Interesting beginning of a series.

The story took a long time to be interesting. I was not disappointed in the ending as I know there will be more in the series.

Oh a slow burn, an intellectual burn but delicious !

I really enjoyed this ! I highly recommend ! Fun doing a puzzle with a triumphant last piece moment.

Very good novel

1820’s culture, interesting story following Napoleon ‘s defeat at Waterloo. Good characters, Lucy’s desire to live outside her fathers expectation makes for unusual involvement within the close knit village

I could even smell the Laudanum elixir!

Great characters and a very well paced story. It kept my attention and I just couldn't stop listening!
