Poor Barry. Maybe the next book he will win Ashley over. Can’t wait!

Another great listen.

While I absolutely love Ross Greenwood's writing, this particular story was so confusing at times, I almost stopped listening. His research into horse racing/betting was amazing, but I found that he lost my interest on several occasions because of all the storyline changes. I personally don't want to work that hard to understand a book that is supposed to be relaxing to listen to...as always, the narration was perfect and the characters were great.

Death at Fakenham Races was a fun listen leading up to the Belmont stakes. Interesting background, and a clever mystery as well. The ongoing drama with the regular cast of characters was especially enjoyable in this edition.

I love this series

Unfortunately, this book bored me stiff. Even with a handful of murders, it was very flat without any drama. It also needed a little punch of the team’s story, but there was very little of that.

Slow and Plodding

Horses are beautiful creatures, but a whole story based on a race track and the details of racing and betting never engaged me.

Too much a tutorial on horse racing and the intricacies of betting
