The rescue teams scour the bay in vain, searching for the missing boy; the last surviving heir to a Highland land baron dying from a terminal illness. With those who have vested interests in both the boy's survival—and indeed his untimely death—circling the scene, laying down markers of their own, how will Duncan determine whether the disappearance is a tragic accident or something much more sinister?

Great characters & plot

Another good story set on the Isle of Skye. These books continue to richly develop all the characters so that I feel like I know them. Please continue; I’m keen to know what’s next in their lives!

The narration and story lines in this series are outstanding!

Mysteries that keep you guessing to the end throughout the entire series. I look forward to the next installment.

I really love this series. I so enjoy the storyline. They are never boring and keeps my interest from beginning to end. Angus King is GREAT. Every book he narrates comes to life and makes you feel like it is a full cast reading. Thank you. Plz hurry with the next book.
