Love this series! And the Marius Quin series. So far everything I’ve heard by this author. I highly recommend his books!

Can’t get enough of Lord Edgington and Chrissy!

Read the books in order. Narration is always fantastic. The authors final chapter in every book tells about how and why he wrote the book and his research for it. Fascinating stuff! And, as usual, it’s a mystery that even if you guessed who might have done it, the reason why will not be revealed until the end of the story!

SO WELL DONE!

The story is extremely well written. Recurring characters develop nicely. I couldn’t decide whodunnit—though I had flitting thoughts, which I discarded as soon as they happened. The setting plays a great role too. This was a bit darker than the other books, but Chrissy and Lord Edgington treat it with respect, and make one’s heart warm to them. Hints are given to inspire anticipation for the next. Benedict’s end notes are as entertaining as the book itself!

Too many murders

Thought I was reading a mystery from Midsomers Murders. I like complexity and trying to figure out a solution. This mystery provides the clues afterwards. Yes, how fun to come up with the plot. Maybe the series has run too long. Hate to say goodbye to all the characters.

Weird but entertaining

Might not have continued with this series had this been my first Lord Edgerton book, however, I can forgive Benedict Brown for a one off. On the plus side, I like that Christopher is growing up and is more mature, hope this continues. The problem is the plot, too many murders. It was a clever idea that somehow did not work.
