A Space Marine Battles Audiobook

Death of Integrity is the Imperial designation assigned to a gargantuan space hulk drifting towards the Ultima Segmentum. Aboard this monstrous conglomeration of wrecked space battleships, asteroids, and space stations is a horde of genestealers. These xenos monstrosities have wreaked havoc on the systems the space hulk has passed through, and so the Blood Drinkers and Novamarines Chapters unite to eliminate the threat. All is not as it first seems, however, and rivalries and agendas manifest that will throw the whole operation into jeopardy.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE
Two Space Marine Chapters, one space hulk, thousands of genestealers, and a dark secret hidden at the heart of it all… What do the Adeptus Mechanicus want with the Death of Integrity?

THE STORY
Having tracked a genestealer brood across the sector, Chapter Master Caedis of the Blood Drinkers calls upon his old allies in the Novamarines to assist in the destruction of the space hulk designated Death of Integrity. But before they can unleash their plasma torpedoes, the Adeptus Mechanicus intervene and task both Chapters with a secretive mission into the heart of the hulk. With deadly xenos creatures seemingly lurking around every corner, Caedis treads a fine line between glorious victory and the damnation of eternal bloodlust carried by all sons of Sanguinius.

The performance, pacing and story were all great. At no point did I feel as though I was being sped through different situations, while my time as a listener was being respected.

Great listen

I thoroughly enjoyed the way. The author has
given the less known chapters of the ultramarines and the blood angels. He accurately describes how unique each chapter is. And their struggles, he also gives us a glimpse into their different cultures and how each chapter looks at another
The battle scenes are quite descriptive overall, great a book to listen to. I would recommend it

This story is a classic and should be known to the wider fanbase if they so choose. Space Hulks are like giant dungeons and the tale of the Novamarines and Blood Drinkers delves deep in the mad conglomerates such as a phenomenal adventure could bring.

I’ve listened to every single Space Marine book available on Audible. Because this is an older, rarely talked-about title, I went in with very low expectations—but it turned out to be THE BEST (and I repeat, the best) Space Marine book ever written. It even surpasses ADB’s work. The featured Chapters are distinct and brilliantly realized. The story perfectly captures exactly who the Astartes are, showcasing their brotherhood and how they operate alongside the other Adepta. On top of that, the 'bolter porn' is absolutely on point, and there is a massive amount of incredible Terminator action!

The best Adeptus Astartes book

Overall a fairly fun romp through the 38th Millennium, but for the love of the god Emperor will the editorial team please remove all of the multiple uses of the same word in a sentence - the poor grammar is really jarring. It genuinely puts me off listening to the rest of the story.

Better than expected.
